Cycar is pleased to present our latest thoughts on the final configuration and looks of the TigerCat3V2. This group of concept drawings was completed by Jack Ashcraft, a well respected automotive designer who lives here in Medford, OR. Jack was asked to come in and review the mechanical designs and running gear of our first prototype during construction. He was here, in the Fabrication Shop, for over three hours. He was then given the contract to present his views on the complete look and presentation of the TigerCat.
We looked forward to his drawings and ideas and were well pleased with the concepts that he showed us on 10-21-08. The “Club of Finger Pointing Designers” gathered around and made many comments and suggestions such as “looks like a boat”, “too wide”, too narrow”, “why all the lines and funny stuff”, “can you make look more like a pick-up truck” and other Oregon points of view.
The general opinion was “hum, looks good”, “I like the colors”, “when can I get one” and “great start”. This list of “Finger Pointing” view points led us to believe that we should ask about your thoughts. So, we are showing you these early drawings and asking you to e-mail your review and comments. Each e-mail will be answered by me or one of the staff, without fail. Get together your best ideas and send them to cgmyers@charter.net. Please use the drawing number when referring to any of the drawings to help us keep things straight. Allow a few days for a reply, but be assured we will answer with the latest and most complete information we have available.
Last comment, we (the management team) do not think that any one of the designs or sketch ideas is the final design. The decision on what the TigerCat will look like in final form will be made in Mid-November after the SEMA trade show.
